How To Build Sturdy, Beautiful Self-Belief That Lasts

This episode introduces my system for self-belief that’s sturdy, easy to cultivate, and deeply sustainable.

In this week’s episode of The 10-Minute Shift, I’m introducing a take on confidence that’s been at the heart of my work for years - but I’ve never shared it like this before. I think there’s a misconception with confidence - that it’s a feeling you get, something that just comes to you, and you’re at the mercy of it appearing or not. (I don’t agree with this)

For me, confidence is an antidote for anxiety. It offers a sense of safety, like a little shelf in the sea that I can stand on when the waves are all around me.

It’s the ability for me to stay steady, even when I face ambiguity or uncertainty, when I can’t see the path ahead. It’s like this internal knowing that I’ll be ok no matter what happens.

I’ve worked with many clients through the same type of work, and I’ve developed a learnable, practicable system that I would love to offer you to take and practice, if this work calls to you.

I call it the Self-Belief System - a framework I’ve built through coaching, research, and lived experience.

It’s for anyone who’s ever felt perhaps capable on paper but still found themselves hesitating, second-guessing, or holding back from speaking up for fear of being rejected, fear of being judged, fear of not being enough.

In this episode, I introduce the seven internal capacities that I believe shape sturdy, grounded confidence - not the kind that looks good on the outside, but the kind you can feel, that feels like it comes from the centre of you.

The kind that helps you say what you mean, trust your gut, and show up without apology even when (maybe especially when) other people are watching.

In this episode you’ll hear:

  • Why confidence isn’t about charisma or being naturally bold - it’s situational, trainable, and anchored in how you relate to yourself

  • How to stop waiting until you feel “ready” and start building belief through small acts of reflection and choice

  • A new way to understand confidence not as a mood or mindset, but as something with structure, language, and shape so you can finally stop blaming yourself when it feels shaky

This is the 2nd episode in a special series on confidence, identity, and rebuilding from the inside out.
